COSMETOLOGY COURSE (1,000 Clock Hours): The course of study for students enrolled in a cosmetology course shall consist of sixteen hundred (1,600) clock hours of technical instructional and practical operations covering all practices constituting the art of cosmetology. Educational Goals: The cosmetology course of study is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Cosmetologist, Hairdressers and Hairstylists (CIP #12.0403, SOC code-39.5012).


BARBER COURSE: (1,000 Clock Hours) The course of study for students enrolled in a Barbering course shall consist of fifteen hundred (1,500) clock hours of technical instructional and practical operations covering all practices constituting the art of barbering. Educational Goals: The Barbering course of study is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as as Barber (CIP # 12.0402, SOC code-39.5012).


BARBER CROSSOVER COURSE FOR COSMETOLOGISTS: (400 Clock Hours) The course of study for students enrolled is to provide barber training for the cosmetologists and shall consist of a minimum of four hundred (400) clock hours of technical instruction and practical operations covering barber practices that are not a part of the required training or practice of a cosmetologist. The Barbering course of study is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as as Barber (CIP # 12.0402, SOC code 39-5012).

 

SKIN CARE/ ESTHETICIAN COURSE: (600 Clock Hours): The courses of study are designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Skin Care (CIP #12.0406, SOC Code 39-5094). The course of study for students enrolled in their course of study shall consist of the state mandated technical instructional and practical operations covering all practices constituting the art of Skin Care. Educational Goals: The courses of study are designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Skin Care Specialists and Esthetician.
 

 

MANICURE COURSE: (400 Clock Hours): The courses of study are designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Manicurist (CIP #12.0499, SOC Code 39-5092). The course of study for students enrolled in their course of study shall consist of the state mandated technical instructional and practical operations covering all practices constituting the art of Manicuring. Educational Goals: The courses of study are designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a Manicurists and Pedicurists.
